Drogheda Musical Society Announces 2027 Production: 9 to 5: The Musical

The wait is over!

Drogheda Musical Society is thrilled to announce that our 2027 production will be the much-loved 9 to 5: The Musical, taking to the stage at the Barbican Theatre, Drogheda, in March 2027.

Based on the iconic hit film and featuring music and lyrics by the legendary Dolly Parton, 9 to 5 is a hilarious, uplifting and empowering musical packed with unforgettable songs, larger-than-life characters and plenty of laughs. With its themes of friendship, determination and standing up for what's right, it's a show that continues to entertain audiences around the world.

Following the incredible success of our debut production, The Addams Family, and our proud achievement of winning the Spirit of AIMS Award, we can't wait to begin the next chapter of the DMS journey.

Over the coming months, our members, volunteers and creative team will work tirelessly to bring this much-loved musical to life. From production team appointments and auditions to rehearsals and behind-the-scenes updates, there's an exciting journey ahead, and we'd love for you to be part of it.
